Radio JCom

Radio JCom is proud to be the only Jewish Community Station in the United Kingdom! It was formed by a group of community members with broadcasting, media, communal and business backgrounds from a cross-section of the Leeds Jewish community. Serving approximately 10,000 people across North Leeds, and based at the Leeds Jewish MAZCC Community Centre, Radio Jcom broadcasts as a focal point for all. They are a not-for-profit organisation with any surplus from advertising revenues reinvested in the station. Local business and communal organisations are encouraged to sponsor or advertise on air and on the web site.

Initially, Radio JCom has launched an Internet-based radio station that runs 24 hours a day for 6 days a week. Their full schedule comprises a wide range of programmes from music to sport to youth to news, encompassing every aspect of the Jewish community. An application was submitted to OFCOM in June 2007 and accepted in November for a full term radio licence, which will broadcast to the Jewish community across North Leeds on 1386 AM frequency.

Radio JCom are always keen for new people to get involved. They are in the process of training both presenters and technical operators. Also, they are always happy to help you record advertisements or any news relevant to the community.
