Education

An important factor in choosing a place to live is ensuring that you find the right mix between Jewish and secular education for your children. Here in Leeds, we have Brodetsky Primary School which is a state-funded faith school with Jewish studies in addition to the normal curriculum. This balance will help ensure that they get the best of both worlds. In terms of secondary education, all the local schools provide excellent provision for Jewish students which you can read about in this section. Jewish education doesn’t stop at school though with many other educational opportunities, both formal and informal educational opportunities available, such as the Talmud Torah and the various youth groups.

Learning isn’t just a privilege of the young and in Leeds we believe that it should be a lifelong experience leading to continual growth. There is a varied programme of religious education from shul-based programmes to famous speakers to inter-denominational learning sessions. Leeds is also very strong with regards to education about Israel. You can see from the various pages how organisations put on events that keep you abreast with all the latest information from Israel.
