Brit Milah (Orthodox)
The London Beth Din feels it incumbent to draw attention to the importance of engaging only qualified Mohelim to perform Brit Milah.It should be noted that all Mohalim including Doctors registered with the Initiation Soceity have received special instruction to carry out the ritual operation in accordance with the Halachic requirements. No one, whether medically qualified or otherwise, is admitted to the Society's roll of registered Mohalim unless qualified as regards religious fitness, knowledge of the Dinim and surgical competence. To avoid any doubt as to the Halachic validity of a circumcision, it is therefore advisable only to use the services of a registered Mohel.
Brit Milah (Progressive)
Reform and Liberal Judaism carry out this ritual and religious procedure of performing circumcision on all (and only) Jewish boys.
