What do murder mysteries, speed dating, Shabbat dinners, ice skating, club nights, job fairs, drama and great speakers have in common? They are part of an exciting and varied range of activities aimed at 18 to 35 year-olds in Leeds. Young adults are the bedrock of any community, and their happiness can be seen as a barometer for the community's health. Leeds recognises the importance of this age range for its future. It is determined to provide the social scene and professional opportunities necessary to make it an attractive place to live. More then ever, young families decide to settle here, but the community also provides the social network where singles can find their future spouse.

Leeds is one of the first choices for Jewish students coming to university. This is no wonder when they can get a first-class education, a strong social life and a chance to experience Judaism in a dynamic way. You will see in this section that there is not only an active J-Soc but a myriad of ways for people to strengthen their Jewish identity regardless of interest or affiliation. Students live, pray and party together in Hyde Park and Headingley, creating a warm family atmosphere. The community at large is very welcoming and aims to create a strong bonds with the students while they are here. Seeing what Leeds has to offer for young adults will mean that an increasing amount of people will extend their stay in Leeds post-university.
